This merger is important for many reasons, but our primary concern is our members – making sure you have a sound and secure future. By joining with a larger, more diversified credit union like CUOFCO, we’ll be able to offer you more without sacrificing personalized service and a dedication to the Southwestern Colorado community you are used to enjoying.

Credit Union of Colorado has 80-plus years of history serving Colorado communities. The primary purpose of the merger is to expand the range of products and services offered to members. Credit Union of Colorado offers a wide range of products and services including:

Member service – Our first priority for a merger partner was a credit union whose service culture matched ours.

Financial stability – Partnering with a credit union with a proven record of financial performance.

Scale – Size matters for financial institutions in terms of their ability to offer a wide variety of products and services.

Local commitment – A merger partner who exhibits serving the unique needs of local communities.

Continuity – For a merger partner to be considered they had to agree to maintain a location in Durango and employ current Southwest Colorado Federal Credit Union staff.
